Anders Ferm was born in 1938 and former diplomat and editor-in-chief of the newspaper Work between 1990 and 1995. Ferm served on the Government Council 1965 to 1973, including as close associate of Olof Palme. He was then head of the newspaper's publisher.
He was Secretary-General of the Independent Commission on Disarmament and Security Issues in Vienna (the so-called Palm Commission) and then UN Ambassador and Ambassador to Copenhagen from 1988 to 1990.
