The national census is a national survey conducted once every five years for all people living in Japan. The 21st survey will be held on October 1 next year.

The national census has introduced a full-scale Internet survey that responds on smartphones and PCs since the last time, and in the next year's survey, it wants to increase the response rate to 50%.
