Already under investigation for a phone call to the Ukrainian president, in which he was asking his counterpart for information on his rival Joe Biden, Donald Trump could be worried about further telephone exchanges. According to the New York Times, the US president has asked the Australian Prime Minister to gather information, this time, to discredit the investigation of prosecutor Mueller on Russian interference.

According to the New York Times , the president has asked the Australian prime minister to help his secretary of justice to gather information that could discredit the work of prosecutor Mueller. And the transcription of this phone call was filed in a secret computer system, as was the controversial exchange he had with the Ukrainian president.

Donald Trump believes the Mueller report has whitened him completely, but he remains obsessed with this investigation, which he says has ruined the first two years of his presidency. The Russian interference in his campaign has been confirmed by US intelligence agencies, and the president wants to prove that it has primarily sought to harm him politically.

According to the Washington Post , the Secretary of Justice would be particularly invested in this undermining; William Barr reportedly went to Italy and Britain to obtain information that could jeopardize the work of intelligence agencies. If confirmed, these new revelations would be another blow for Donald Trump: they would confirm that the president is using the power of American diplomacy to serve his personal political agenda.
