The Civil Guard investigates the finding of a human head, which appeared inside a box in a house in Castro Urdiales (Cantabria) at dawn from Friday to Saturday.
Civil Guard sources have confirmed that a woman's head was found in the early hours of Friday through Saturday and that she is trying to identify who she belongs to.
The house is located on Santa Ana street, north of Castro Urdiales and near the bullring .
According to the newspaper Montañés , the woman who found the box had to be treated by the health services because she suffered an anxiety crisis.
This newspaper indicates that the box could have reached the woman's hands through a friend and that after a couple of days she opened it because of the strong stench it gave off.
