Safa Safiyari has been the channel manager for SVT Children since 2008. He says that it is very different from what children have access to for entertainment today and ten years ago.

- The availability of moving images for children is enormous today. This will eventually affect quality, dramaturgy and storytelling. The children get good at mobile communication very quickly because they consume so much more than previous generations, he says.

"Higher demands on what's interesting"

He says that the increasing availability of moving images among children will be felt in the future.

- Their demands for stories will be extremely high. It will move the industry faster than before. They will have higher demands on what is interesting, engaging and relevant, he says.

In what way do you adapt to be able to compete with the new type of media players?

- We're not really competing. Rather, we can be inspired by how to tell a story. We learn from different platforms all the time, he says.
