1,300 people find themselves every day without accommodation solutions. A figure that has doubled since last year.

The social Samu of Paris launches a cry of warning. The 115 is overwhelmed by calls from families and single people on the street: more than 15,700 calls received per day on average on this emergency number in the past two weeks. These are 6,000 more calls than last year at the same time.

The social Samu dreads entry into winter. "It's about 1,300 people to whom we can not answer or propose a place every day, knowing that it has doubled since last year," says Eric Pliez Europe 1, president of Samu social Paris. This year, families with children are more affected. "This is what leads to the saturation of emergency services in hospitals, the impossibility of getting out of the maternity of young mothers with children: in short a rather cataclysmic situation," adds the president.

A Marshall Plan to get out of the crisis

"We are asking for a Marshall Plan," continues Eric Pliez. "It takes a shock effect to get out of this situation. We alert for more places in accommodation but also more affordable housing in areas such as the Ile-de-France.It is estimated that 6,000 people the number of people in the street in Paris."

Julien Denormandie, Minister in charge of the City and Housing, receives Monday the solidarity associations to present the emergency shelter plan for this winter.
