American Christian Coleman, crowned world champion in the 100m on Saturday, will not start the 200m series on Sunday, confirmed the American Federation.

Coleman (23) was removed from the N.2 series start-up list. The federation did not specify the reasons for its absence, but indicated that it remained at the disposal of the 4x100 m relay team starting Friday.

On Saturday he became world champion in the 100m for the first time in his career by crushing the final in 9 sec 76, his new personal best.

Coleman was threatened in August with an anti-doping sanction for three breaches of his whereabouts obligations, but the case was dropped by the US National Anti-Doping Agency (Usada), which had made a date error.
