Several of the members of the Republic's Defense Committees (CDR) detained in the Judas operation met with a sister of Carles Puigdemont with the aim of exchanging "sensitive information" and opening a secure communication channel between the former escaped president and the current head of the Generalitat, Quim Torra.

This is reflected in the prison orders issued last Thursday by the judge of the National Court Manuel García Castellón against seven of the nine detainees. The resolutions indicate that on September 15 of last year the investigators witnessed "a maneuver orchestrated by the ERT" that developed "in maximum hiding." It was the encounter "with a person who, due to the reaction of the members to know his identity, must have a dangerous component."

As the Chain Being revealed yesterday and has confirmed this newspaper, that person was a sister of Puigdemont. According to the judge, the group dismantled last Monday by the Civil Guard "organized, planned and executed a secret meeting in itinere with the sister of President Carles Puigdemont." He adds that the meeting took place "with the intention of delivering sensitive documentation and establishing secure communications between the former president fled from the Spanish Justricia and the current president of the Generalitat Joaquim Torra."

This meeting was attended by Guillem Xavier Duch, Ferran Jolis, Eduardo Garzón, Clara Borerro and David Budria. All of them were sent to prison by the judge as members of a radical subgroup of the Defense Committees of the Republic self-appointed Tactical Response Team (ERT), described as “an organization with a hierarchical structure that aims to establish the Catalan Republic by any via, including violent ones. The group also wanted another arrested, Xavier Buigas, to be present at the meeting, but the speed with which he approached made it impossible.

The records indicate that the investigators met the meeting, prepared "with great security measures", thanks to the analysis of telephone interventions between two of the detainees, Ferran Jolis and Xavier Buigas.

The court decisions cited by the Ser Chain indicate that researchers have detected "two complementary cells" within the ERT, each with different functions. On the one hand there would be the «producer nucleus», in charge of surreptitiously obtaining the chemical materials necessary to manufacture explosives in «clandestine laboratories».

On the other hand there would be the so-called «executing nucleus», made up of the most radical members of the group. Its funvión would be to use the explosives raised by the first group. Throughout more than a year of investigation, the Civil Guard verified how they gained experience doing practices with the explosives.

The group, considered terrorist by the Prosecutor's Office of the Hearing and Judge García Castellón, intended to act on "D-Day", which the investigators point to as the day of the trial process. The group planned to occupy the headquarters of the Parlament that day. In the erpartod e tasks, the arrested Jolís had to guarantee the security of the conversations with the outside of the legislative chamber. "I am playing my ass, because if they catch me they will put terrorism and organized gang," he said in a telephone conversation intervened by the Civil Guard.
