According to RIA Novosti with reference to the message of the ministry, al-Hasani called for the search for ways to increase the efficiency of agricultural activities by expanding the exchange of experience and information in accordance with the "strategic plans of the Ministry of Agriculture to develop this vital sector."
Al-Hasani also called on Russian companies to invest in the Iraqi economy and create joint projects in crop production and animal husbandry.
In turn, Maximov announced the readiness of the Russian side to develop bilateral relations.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov announced plans for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to visit Iraq in October.
