Al-Hasani also called on Russian companies to invest in the Iraqi economy and create joint projects in crop production and animal husbandry.

In turn, Maximov announced the readiness of the Russian side to develop bilateral relations.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov announced plans for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to visit Iraq in October.
