After the popular tribute celebrated this Sunday, and during which thousands of people crowded in the Invalides, the ceremonies in memory of Jacques Chirac, died Thursday at the age of 86, will continue Monday, during a day of National mourning.

A solemn service will be rendered in particular at 12 o'clock in the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris, in the presence of the former presidents of the Republic but also about thirty foreign heads of state. At the end of this ceremony, Jacques Chirac will be buried in the Montparnasse cemetery in a strictly private setting.

Special edition from 11 am to 2 pm

From 11:00 to 14:00, Europe 1 will propose you a special edition, and will welcome especially in the studio the great voices of Europe 1, Catherine Nay, Charles Villeneuve, Gérard Carreyrou and Michèle Cotta, but also the journalist of Monde Béatrice Gurrey, author from the book Les Chirac: the secrets of the clan .

Several political guests will also speak on the air: Jean-Pierre Lecoq, Mayor of the 6th arrondissement, and Pierre Bédier, President LR of the Departmental Council of Yvelines. While Lebanon has also declared a national day of mourning on Monday, Europe 1 will interview Virginie Le Borgne, an independent journalist in Beirut.
