In the last eleven days, the coast of the province of Alicante has received an avalanche of patera type boats, a total of sixteen with 154 immigrants intercepted on board.

The good weather with the consequent good state of the sea and the absence of night light coinciding with the new Moon (last 28) could have encouraged the arrival of boats to the south of the Valencian Community in recent days.

According to the data provided by the Red Cross and the Civil Guard, the day with more kickers has been, by far, the one this Sunday with six carrying 67 people, almost a dozen of them possibly minors.

This episode of boats with immigrants began last day 18 in Poble Nou de Benitatxell (11 immigrants located) and l'Alfàs del Pi (12) and the next day two other boats in La Mata de Torrevieja (10) and the city of Alicante (10).

On Wednesday the 25th there was another one in Benidorm (10), the 26 two more at Poble Nou de Benitatxell (6) and Alicante (3) and on Friday 27 three more in Calp (8), Xàbia (7) and Torrevieja (10 ), the latter rescued by an Italian patrol boat.

During the day this Sunday, there have been six more: two that arrived at 16.30 hours at the port of Alicante, with 16 and 8 immigrants respectively, two others at the coves La Mosca and Capitán de Orihuela Costa, with 10 and 6, and others two that have been rescued by a French ship and that will arrive in Alicante in the next hours with 17 and 10 undocumented.

To these figures it should be added that in the patera on the 26th of Alicante with three rescued people, they reported that the boat had overturned hours before being sighted and that seven of the occupants had disappeared at sea, without the subsequent work of Search will give result.
