Have you had plans to visit Gustavianum in Uppsala? Then you have to hurry, because on Sunday the museum is closed for renovation, which can last between 2-3 years.

- The renovation is not about redoing the building itself, but we will create a controlled indoor climate to get the right humidity, says Gustavianum's museum manager Mikael Ahlund.

New items will move in

In connection with the renovation, the house will be emptied of all objects, which will take time. When the museum opens again, which is believed to be sometime in the fall of 2022, we will also have the opportunity to see new objects.

- The art will move into Gustavianum. Uppsala University has one of Sweden's finest art collections and we will be able to meet it eventually.
