Syrian Foreign Ministry demands the withdrawal of all illegal foreign troops from the country

“The US and Turkey maintain an illegal military presence in northern Syria. They have reached such impudence as negotiating and creating the so-called security zone in the north of Syria, ”he said, speaking at the UN General Assembly.

According to him, this kind of behavior is a violation of international law and the UN charter.

According to the Minister, if foreign troops do not leave Syria, Damascus reserves the right "to any countermeasures in accordance with international law."

Muallem said earlier that in Idlib, terrorists are holding Syrians "as a human shield."
