HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said that the UAE will continue our efforts to save Yemen from its crisis and confront the Iranian-backed Houthi militias and other terrorist organizations.

This came in a speech delivered by His Highness to the United Nations General Assembly yesterday, describing the attacks on Saudi Arabia, the latest on Aramco facilities, as not only affecting the security of the Kingdom but also affect the global economy, stressing that the UAE supports a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue to ensure the establishment of an independent state.

With regard to national affairs, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said that the UAE will not give up its right to sovereignty over its islands occupied by Iran.

His Highness said Iran continued to arm terrorist groups in the region and that the Iranian nuclear agreement did not correct its behavior, stressing the need not to interfere in the internal affairs of countries.

His Highness also paid tribute to Hazza Al Mansouri, the first Emirati astronaut to visit the International Space Station for research.He said that the UAE is starting a new era to invest in space science and build a new generation in the world of science, technology and enlightenment.
