by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 28 September 2019 An explosion, without fire, occurred in a house in Villanova Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo, causing serious injury to a person. This is what was specified by the local Fire Brigade.

The Fire Brigade immediately identified and recovered the person trapped under the rubble that is in very serious condition. The injured was taken to hospital by the 118 health personnel.

The partial collapse of the two-storey building, which is part of a series of terraced houses, is most probably due to a gas leak or the explosion of a LPG cylinder on the second floor of the building.

The explosion caused the collapse of the attic. The other inhabitants of the house on the first floor, hearing the roar, left immediately on the street.

The Fire Brigade is carrying out the appropriate checks on adjacent houses and looking for other possible people involved in the accident.
