The Federation Council spoke about the losses of the EU from anti-Russian sanctions

“I want to note that the losses of the European Union from illegal restrictions against Russian companies are almost five times more than Russian ones. If our relations had not deteriorated due to the fault of well-known Western politicians, today the turnover could well reach € 1.5 trillion, ”he said.

According to him, these figures are comparable with trade between the European Union and the United States and between the European Union and China.

At the same time, Turchak noted that, despite anti-Russian sanctions by the EU, the European Union remains one of the main trade partners of Russia. At the end of 2018, total turnover amounted to about € 300 billion.

Earlier, the director general of the Association of European Businesses in Russia, Frank Schauff, in an interview with Izvestia, assessed the situation with sanctions.
