On Friday, there are manifestations for the climate in several parts of the county. At Västangård's school, the students have been working year-round with different themes on climate and the environment. The focus has been on what you can do yourself. After lunch on Friday, students from preschool class up to grade five show what they have done for each other and for parents.
But on Facebook and on the news page News in Västerbotten, which is owned and run by the Moderates in Västerbotten, Anders Ågren rages against what he describes as a strike.
- It is a scandal of large sizes! To begin with, it is wrong to strike at school. But what makes it serious in this case is that teachers and school management obviously force students to strike. It is completely unconscious of the adults, Anders Ågren tells the magazine.

- It is not a strike but a manifestation, we have not removed a few hours from the curriculum. This is something that is part of the curriculum, according to which we will teach our students about the climate and what they can do for themselves. We actually own the solution to a lot and according to the curriculum it is our duty to teach it, says the headmaster.
- I think it's a pity that you do this way. You remove the desire from what the students have chosen to do and work with for a long time.
