“No one called the Russian representative to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry in connection with the program of Andrei Malakhov. During a planned working contact, Kyrgyz colleagues, among other things, raised a question regarding the TV presenter’s statements in the program on the Russia channel, the department said.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the statements of Malakhov are his personal opinion, and advised the Kyrgyz embassy in Moscow to use the law of the host country on the media regarding the right of reply.

They also emphasized that the situation has no relation to bilateral interstate relations.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan called the Russian adviser-envoy after the statements of Malakhov during the broadcast “Live”.

Dissatisfaction was caused by the fact that the journalist “incorrectly spoke out” regarding the situation around Kyrgyz citizen Islambek Akbarov, who became a participant in an accident, which killed the Russian Marugov.

Malakhov did not rule out that Akbarov could specially arrange an accident for monetary reward due to the low level of salaries in the republic.
