In Dalarna, five of the municipalities that responded to the survey say that they do not have an agreement today or will write any new agreement on school photography in the future. Only in the municipality of Orsa is it answered that the schools there will certainly continue to buy school photographs.

In several of the municipalities, it is also unclear how one will do in the future when the current school photography agreement has expired.

Reassessed the view of school photographs

Eleven of the county's fifteen municipalities have answered the questionnaire. And among those who answered, everyone says that in recent years the view of school photography has been re-evaluated. As a reason for the changed attitude, among other things, the data protection regulation is given GDPR, that the school should be free of charge and a reduced demand.

At Hälsinggårdsskolan F-6, it has been decided not to take individual photos of the children.

- We do not think it is the school's mission to keep a school photo in school, says Deputy Principal Tomas Jönsson.

- It takes a lot of time. We also have custodians' views on this. It is that for them it will be a significant cost.

Fifth-grader Berat Duymaz agrees.

- They should be able to buy food for us, clothes and stuff we need. Then it is very expensive for them.
