Lavrov met with representatives of the South Pacific

This is stated in a message published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, “a wide range of issues of mutual interest” was raised.

The parties reaffirmed "the spirit to build up practical cooperation between Russia and partners from the South Pacific subregion on a bilateral and multilateral basis, Russia's readiness to provide diverse assistance to these countries, including in the field of adaptation and overcoming the effects of climate change."

Earlier, Lavrov met with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
