“As you know, the decision of Russia temporarily suspended flights with Georgia, and then we gave it a corresponding assessment,” Interfax quoted Abashidze.

He noted that if Russia decides to restore air links with Georgia, then this will be perceived as a step in the right direction.

“We will wait for an official decision,” he added.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for the restoration of air links between Russia and Georgia.

On September 3, the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced that Tbilisi did not intend to limit the work of Russian companies.
