The importance of spiritual maturity - as a contributing factor to solving the climate crisis - describes the archbishop as being able to see the difference between what you yourself want and what the world needs.

Next week visit Bartholomeus I, Bishop of Constantinople, Sweden. His environmental and climate commitment has given him the nickname "the green patriarch".

In conjunction with the visit, he and Archbishop Antje Jackelén have written a debate article in Dagens Nyheter, where they give their views on which are most affected by climate change - and what is needed to stop global warming.

The bishops of the Swedish Church have been working on climate issues for a long time - but these days they publish the book "A Episcopal Letter on Climate" which highlights the issues in more detail.
