This was stated by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
According to him, which are quoted in the message of the diplomatic mission on Facebook, the American partners took another destructive step by introducing restrictions on Russian citizens, companies and ships because of the alleged supply of jet fuel to the Russian military in the ATS.
Antonov added that the Russian side has repeatedly stated that it does not recognize unilateral restrictive measures.
The ambassador also said it was noteworthy that this was happening on the eve of Lavrov’s meeting with Pompeo in New York.
“We hoped that the foreign ministers would be able to concentrate more on improving relations between our countries. Instead, ministers will be forced to start by discussing artificially created problems - visa and sanctions, ”he said.
Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against three individuals, one company and five ships because of the "supply of fuel to the Syrian Armed Forces.
