An over 2,000-year-old coffin has been returned to Egypt after prosecutors determined it was stolen, reports the New York Post.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art purchased the coffin in 2017 and used it as the main attraction in the exhibition "Nedjemankh and His Gilded Coffin" 2018. It is estimated to be worth four million US dollars.

The coffin was once the resting place for the high priest Nedjemankh who must have lived around 150 to 50 years before our time count.
