Johan Johansson is club chairman of If Metall at Componenta and today's message came as a surprise:

- We sat last yesterday and talked about the future.

How is the mood among the employees of the Fremmmestad today?

- It's mixed, for some this was expected, for others it's a big concern about what's going to happen now.

Componenta works with machining and assembly of parts in the heavy vehicle industry. At present, there are 199 employees and 33 temporary workers. In March this year, the workshop company notified about 100 employees in Främmestad.

Lost Volvo as a customer

Anders Bill, Ombudsman at the trade union IF Metall in Western Skaraborg, then told Svt Västs Nyheter that the main reason was that Volvo will no longer use Componenta as a supplier. Which means that they cannot have a business model where they are responsible for the entire supply chain to the customer.

But according to Johan Johansson, deductions have been made and the new organistion has taken shape.

What happens now?

- We are working on it and my hope is that this company lives on in some form.

SVT News West is looking for Componentas CEO Hannu Suutari for a comment.
