Lavrov met with the head of the ICRC in the margins of the UN General Assembly

This is stated in a message published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that the parties "discussed the interaction of Russia and the Committee for a joint response to humanitarian crises in various regions of the world, in particular, providing assistance to the civilian population of southeastern Ukraine and Syria."

Also, during the meeting, the directions of using the annual voluntary contribution of Russia to the Committee’s budget and other pressing issues of cooperation between Russia and the ICRC were examined.

Earlier it was reported that Lavrov met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
