“Whatever happens next, in the history of the States, Ukraine will remain as the country that led to the beginning of the impeachment procedure of the president. Not a very fun prospect. But now everyone understands what we are capable of, ”the former minister wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the start of the Trump impeachment process.

According to her, the actions of the head of the White House indicate that he betrayed the presidency, national security and the integrity of the elections, allegedly putting pressure on his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky.

At the same time, Trump himself allowed to publish a transcript of his conversation with Zelensky, around which a scandal erupted.

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also supported the decision to begin the impeachment process.
