The Supreme Court guarantees that the mortal remains of the dictator Francisco Franco leave the basilica of the Valley of the Fallen, as legal sources advance to THE WORLD. The Fourth Section of the Administrative Litigation Chamber has dismissed this Tuesday the appeal filed by the caudillo's family, thus giving the green light to one of the star measures of the Government of Pedro Sánchez in full electoral campaign.

The Chamber, composed of magistrates Jorge Rodríguez Zapata (president), Pablo Lucas (rapporteur), Pilar Teso, Celsa Pico, Segundo Menéndez and José Luis Requero, has agreed that it is a measure under the law to exhume the remains of Franco de Cuelgamuros.

In addition, the court has rejected the family's claim that the body of the dictator be buried in the Cathedral of La Almudena and, therefore, will be deposited in the cemetery of Mingorrubio (El Pardo) against the grandchildren's criteria.
