09 October 2018Another public house occupied by members of the Spada clan was evicted this morning in Ostia. The mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, announced in a tweet. "This morning - he writes - we have evicted another popular house in Ostia, which is still illegally occupied by members of the Spada clan. Together with the Local Police we will not give respite to those who live in illegality. Let us move forward with determination and courage". Today's eviction follows that of last Thursday, again in Ostia.

The mayor explains on Facebook that in the house "the companion and children of Silvano Spada lived, while the latter is currently under arrest in prison. In his absence, the family members continued undisturbed to occupy the house". "An unacceptable situation, to which we have put an end thanks to the intervention of the local Police of Rome Capital, supported by the other police forces", stresses Raggi. "We will not give respite to those who live in illegality, often in criminal contexts if not a real racket. After years of inactivity, from the beginning of our mandate we are controlling the public housing occupied without title, to free them and assign them to those who have right and for years waiting in the ranking for the assignment. We do not stop and #NonAbbassiamoLoSguardo, in Ostia as elsewhere ", he concludes.
