Seventeen people, including seven children and four women, have been killed in two airstrikes by the Saudi-Emirati coalition that targeted a house in the Qutaba district of the southern Houthi-controlled province of Dali, local sources said.

"An entire family was killed," a local official told AFP.

Al-Masira, run by the Houthi group, said 17 people in one building, including seven children, were killed in strikes by the Saudi-led coalition.

There was no immediate comment from the Arab coalition on the group's statement, but it has already issued statements confirming its commitment to avoid targeting civilians.

Since September 2014, Yemen has been fighting for the fifth year in a row between pro-government forces backed by a Saudi-Emirati alliance, and Houthi militants accused of receiving Iranian support and controlling provinces, including the capital Sanaa.
