The minister also announced a decrease of almost five times in maternal mortality, and infant in 3.6 times.

According to Skvortsova, the mortality of Russians from tuberculosis has decreased almost four times.

In addition, over the past 20 years, tobacco and alcohol consumption in Russia has fallen by a quarter.

Earlier, the Minister of Health during a speech at an event within the framework of the UN General Assembly spoke about reducing the mortality rate of Russians from tuberculosis by three times.
