To avoid that 10% of vacancies remain vacant for national police and civil guards in the region, the Community of Madrid will soon design a package of grants and incentives. The regional government mainly intends to compensate for the inconvenience caused by the higher cost of living and the greater workload in the community with the ultimate goal of favoring the arrival of agents and their permanence in the region.

According to regional government sources, a working group will be created in the coming days to design this incentive plan. This is the first step to realize an announcement that was already raised by the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, in her investiture speech.

According to the same sources, the regional president believes that not only the work of the agents should be recognized, involving themselves in improving the quality of life of their agents, but also facilitating the rooting of their families in the region.

Although currently about 13,000 national police and another 7,500 civil guards patrol the community, approximately 10% of the seats of both bodies are vacant.

To avoid this, the working group, which will be made up of the majority of the regional councils, will have to determine if a specific aid for the payment of the rent or the creation of a specific quota for security bodies and forces of the State in Promotions of protected housing on lease.

In addition, the commission will address possible aids related to public transport , a support that could facilitate mobility in the region not only for agents but also for members of their families.

We will also study, according to the sources consulted, the possibility of easing the schooling conditions of the children of the agents who choose the region as their destination, thus enabling family reunification.

Among other measures that will be considered are the possible aids to improve the network of barracks houses of the Civil Guard, infrastructures that, under the Ministry of Interior, "over the years have lost appeal to agents and their families », according to regional government sources.

That support could be channeled through the Regional Investment Plan, a possibility that the Armed Institute officials have always seen with good eyes, they point out from the Community of Madrid.

The aid aims, according to the regional government, that all municipalities in the region "have enough agents from both bodies, both in populations near the capital and, especially, in those located in rural areas and of lower density of population".

The Minister of Justice, Interior and Victims, Enrique López, who next week will meet with the Minister of Justice, Dolores Delgado, has already requested a meeting with the Minister of Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, to communicate and address the implementation of these regional grants.

According to the sources consulted, the commission that will have a transversal character must prepare the report that determines and details the aid within six months. The working group will be coordinated by the Ministry of Justice, Interior and Victims, and it will be represented up to 10 of the 13 departments that make up the Coalition Government of PP and Citizens.
