Autumn warm-up: heating in residential buildings started in Moscow

In residential buildings in Moscow began to give heating. This was stated by Deputy Mayor for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.

“In connection with the decrease in the average daily outdoor temperature below +8 ° С and in accordance with the current regulations, the city is now starting to start heat production with heating turned on in medical and educational institutions, residential buildings, sports infrastructure, administrative and industrial buildings,” RIA Novosti words Biryukov.

Earlier, on September 20, Biryukov said that the heating would be turned on earlier than the deadline - this was due to an unfavorable forecast and requests from residents. He also said that before other facilities, social institutions began to receive heat.

The Moscow Energy Company (MOEK) on the same day reported that 110 such facilities have already begun to be heated - these are schools, kindergartens, hospitals. And on Sunday, September 22, the number of such institutions has already reached 2877.

“As of 8:00 on Sunday, heat was supplied to 2877 social facilities. Including 1172 school buildings, 965 - kindergartens, 560 - hospitals and 156 - clinics. Connectivity is ongoing, ”the MOEK said on Twitter.

According to information on the portal of the Moscow government, more than 70 thousand objects were prepared by the beginning of the heating season, among them more than 33.7 thousand residential buildings. They prepared the authorities and the fuel and energy economy of the city.

“These are 13 thermal power plants, 184 thermal stations and boiler rooms, 22,412 thermal points, 16.7 thousand kilometers of heating networks, 24 thermal pumping stations, 7.5 thousand kilometers of gas networks and 344 gas distribution points, 114 thousand kilometers of electric networks, 20 492 transformer and distribution substations, 13 thousand kilometers of water supply networks and 1030 water pumping stations, as well as 84 water intakes and 25 treatment facilities, ”the website stresses.

Thus, the authorities explained, the modernization and improvement of the city infrastructure will allow “stable and uninterrupted” to provide heat supply during the heating season.

“The astronomical autumn has begun”

At the same time, October weather will set in the European part of Russia next week. This was in a conversation with RT, the chief specialist of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Marina Makarova. According to her, a slight warming will come only at the end of the week.

“The tropospheric hollow will continue to hang over most of the working week over European Russia, which will provide, among other things, in the capital region, the temperature background typical of October. In this case, only slight precipitation will be possible in places, on Friday the direction of air flow in the troposphere will change, and the daily readings of thermometers can increase by a couple of degrees, ”she said.

The weather forecaster emphasized that one should not expect more significant warming.

“It will not work anymore: astronomical autumn has begun today, when night cooling is becoming more noticeable, and daytime is becoming less noticeable. The week will not bring significant rainfall, their deficit will continue to increase, ”said the weather forecaster.

The fact that in the central regions of Russia throughout the coming week a serious cooling will be established, earlier said Makarova’s colleague at the Hydrometeorological Center, the head of the laboratory Lyudmila Parshina.

In a conversation with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, she said that on September 24 and 25, the thermometer bars would go down to -3 ° C, and in the afternoon they would show + 5 ... + 10 ° C. According to the Hydrometeorological Center, precipitation is not expected in Moscow these days, the wind will also be weak. Warming, according to Parshina, will come only by the next weekend, but it will also be below the climatic norm by 4-5 ° С.

The hydrometeorological center also warned residents and guests of Moscow and the Moscow Region about the "yellow" level of weather danger. This is due to strong winds. This regime will be valid until the evening of September 24th.

“Already in the second half of the week, especially closer to Saturday-Sunday, there will again be a wave of warmer air from the Atlantic, that is, western transport, and the temperature will rise again. But one must understand that this is not the arrival of Indian summers - most likely, Indian summers are postponed to October - the temperature in Moscow will rise to + 10 ... +13 ° C degrees. Or maybe even +12 ... +14 ° С degrees, but precipitation is not excluded, ”he said, noting that there will be slight warming in the Moscow region.
