September 22, 2019 Iran will present a peace plan for the region to the UN this week called the 'Coalition for Hope'. Iranian President Hassan Rohani announced this as "an initiative that will involve the countries of the area in order to form a coalition that guarantees security"."The countries of the region are able to provide for themselves the security of the Persian Gulf, the sea of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz," the Iranian president said, adding that "the enemies continue to lie and declare that they are the ones who guarantee the safety".
