Fifa President Gianni Infantino said about racism in the stadiums that the situation had not "improved" in Italy, where the match Atalanta Bergamo-Fiorentina was interrupted a few minutes Sunday for racist cries towards the Brazilian Dalbert.

"Racism is fought through education, condemning it, talking about it, we can not accept racism in society and in football," said Infantino, guest on the Rai2 channel.

Shortly before, the match Atalanta-Fiorentina had been interrupted minutes after racist cries aimed at Dalbert, Brazilian side of the club florentin.

The former Nice player complained to the match referee, Mr Orsato, who stopped the game and asked for a message to be broadcast by the stadium announcer. This message was greeted by fed whistles.

"We have to identify those responsible and throw them out of the stadiums, we need clear sentences, as in England, we must not be afraid to condemn the racists, we must fight them to the end," said Infantino.

Since the beginning of the season, the Belgian of Inter Milan Romelu Lukaku and the Ivorian of AC Milan Franck Kessié have already been targeted by cries of monkey, without any sanction was taken.

Last season, it was Blaise Matuidi, Kalidou Koulibaly and Moïse Kean who had been victims of this phenomenon, recurring for years in Italy.
