The European team, led by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, won Sunday the Laver Cup face training from the rest of the world and is the third consecutive year since the creation of the event.

In the absence of Nadal who had retired from the last day due to an inflammation in his hand, Team Europe waited for the last single won by German Alexander Zverev against Canadian Milos Raonic (6-4, 3-6, 10-4) to win 13 points to 11.

A three-day exhibition event in Geneva, the Laver Cup pitted singles and doubles in Europe against a group of players from around the world, including Australia's Nick Kyrgios and Canada's Milos Raonic.

Before the last single, the rest of the world team led 11 points to 10. Roger Federer had narrowed the gap for Europe after his success over the American John Isner 6-4, 7-6 (7/3) .

Nadal, who played two games in singles and doubles on Saturday, said he lost out on Sunday, suffering from "hand inflammation" and gave up double play with Federer.

The number 2 world has been replaced by the Greek Stefanos Tsisipas to play with Federer the double finally lost against the American pair John Isner / Jack Sock 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.
