Paris Saint-Germain won at home 30 to 25 on the second day of the Men's Handball Champions League Sunday, chaining a second victory in as many games in this European campaign 2019/2020.

The Parisians have long stumbled on a strong defense of Hungarians Szeged, winner last week in Barcelona, before making the difference in the second half thanks to his leader Nikola Karabatic (8 goals), back in his lair of Pierre-de -Coubertin.

The Parisians were able to count on the return of two key players on the floor to make the difference on Sunday: the French international Nikola Karabatic, left on the bench last week in Zagreb, who showed off all his talent (8 goals in total) as on this incredible kung-fu (5th), while the Spaniard Rodrigo Corrales, injured during the game in Croatia, made a beautiful game in the cages.

The Blue and Red started the match in the most beautiful way, inflicting Szeged a 3-0, before seeing their opponent of the day back in the game, led by the Croatian Luka Stepancic, back to Coubertin (3 titles of champion of France between 2016 and 2019 with the Parisian club).

Szeged side, captain Jonas Kallman allowed his team to stay in touch (16-14 at the break).

In the second half, the Karabatic brothers led PSG to a second home win against Hungary's Szeged in two years. The difference was made (+5) for the Blue and Red, which ensured ideal beginnings in C1.

With two victories in two games, the contract is filled for the players of Spaniard Raul Gonzalez, ideally launched in their race for the continental title.

The capital club is also continuing its incredible series of 48 home wins in all competitions in its stadium Pierre-de-Coubertin. Better, the Parisians have never lost at home in C1 in four seasons!

At the same time, Paris became the first team to score 100 points in the group stage since the induction of the new formula of the Champions League in 2015. Of the 116 units in play, the Rouge et Bleu have won 101.

Placed this year in a rather strong group with Szeged, but also Barcelona and Flensburg, PSG aims the Final Four at the end of the season in Cologne (Germany), after a disappointing elimination last year in the quarterfinals.

For its third European meeting of the year, the Paris club will move next weekend in Norway to challenge Elverum, beaten by Flensburg (26-19) on Wednesday.
