The Egyptian Interior Ministry issued a statement on Sunday, announcing the death of one of the members of the “Hesam” movement of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in Al-Matareya. He explained that he was using one of the apartments to store weapons.

The ministry said in a statement: «Continuing the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in the pursuit of elements of the armed entity of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group, to pre-empt their plans to carry out hostile operations aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of the homeland, "Weapons for use in several hostilities."

The statement continued: «During the security forces raided the terrorist Walker, was fired at the forces and dealt with, killing the terrorist Amr Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Hassan, and the injury of two officers in the national security sector».

The statement pointed out that a number of firearms and their safes were seized, large quantities of bullets for the same weapons, as well as RPGs, a number of shells and large quantities of explosive materials, electric circuits for preparing bombs and a combat jacket, and legal procedures were taken. Investigations were carried out by the Supreme State Security Prosecution.
