The administration of President Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine shows some embarrassment as the country finds itself at the heart of a controversy between Rudolph Giuliani, Donald Trump's lawyer, and Democrat Joe Biden. The White House is reported to have asked Kiev to investigate Joe Biden's son to help Trump in his re-election campaign.

Volodymyr Zelensky's team is usually stingy with public comment. She relied on Foreign Minister Vadim Prystayko to offer a categorical denial. No, Donald Trump did not ask Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into Joe Biden's son . No, there is no tension between Kiev and Washington.

For many analysts, however, it is clear that US support for Ukraine has changed since the election of Donald Trump in 2016. The US President recently suspended a delivery of weapons to the Ukrainian army, at war with the east of the country. Also, the allegation is taken very seriously, even if the details remain unclear.

Some fear the consequences of the controversy while Emmanuel Macron attempts a rapprochement with Vladimir Putin, and that Angela Merkel is paralyzed by its domestic policy, a dispute with Donald Trump would only serve the interests of Ukraine in the negotiations of peace with Russia.
