Defense Minister Mark Esper says the US is acting on a Saudi request for help.

- In order to prevent further escalation, Saudi Arabia has requested international support. The United Arab Emirates has also asked for help, says Esper.

- In response to the Kingdom's request, the President has approved the transfer of military personnel, which will be purely of a defensive nature and primarily focus on missile defense.

Less than a thousand soldiers

The Pentagon Defense Headquarters does not specify how many soldiers will be sent to Saudi Arabia. However, Joe Dunford, commander of the United States General Staff, says it is about less than a thousand soldiers.

In addition to the reinforcements, the United States will also send military equipment to both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. According to previous data, it would be about anti-ballistic robot defenses, drones and fighter aircraft.

Has pointed out Iran

The US and Saudi Arabia have identified Iran as responsible for the attacks. On Friday, President Donald Trump said that a military attack on Iran is not relevant right now.

- It is much easier to do it in a different way. It is much simpler. And Iran knows that if they don't take care, they live on borrowed time, Trump said.
