“At 00.00 Moscow time on September 22, there were five forest fires on the territory of the Russian Federation on an area of 11 hectares, which were actively extinguished,” RIA Novosti quotes a message from the Federal Aviation Protection Agency.
It is noted that the largest fires were recorded in the Tomsk region, where the burning area is 10 ha.
It is also specified that over the past day, 14 fires were eliminated on an area of 52 hectares.
September 19 it was reported that the area of fires that are actively extinguished, is 41 hectares.
