Zero Project was launched by the ESSL Foundation in Austria in 2008 to focus on the rights of persons with disabilities in the world. Wafa Hamad bin Sulaiman, director of the Ministry of Welfare and Rehabilitation, said that NMW is the only application available in Arabic that tracks the growth of children under the age of six in a range of developmental areas. It aims to detect developmental delays in children before disability, for early intervention and any rehabilitation and treatment, thereby reducing the development gap between the child's actual age and the developmental age revealed by the application.
Wafa Bin Sulaiman said that after NMW has passed the first evaluation phase conducted by experts at Zero Project, it will be subject to more competition in the next stage, which will be based on the selection of the winning projects, and the prizes will be presented to them in a special conference to be held on this occasion.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Community Development launched the application of «growth» and achieved a high turnout from various segments of society within the UAE and abroad, because of its value for parents, in terms of knowing the abilities of their children.
