US Treasury imposes sanctions on Iran Central Bank and National Development Fund

“Today, the US Department of the Treasury’s Foreign Asset Control Office (OFAC) has taken action against the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and Iran’s National Development Fund (NDF),” the US said.

The US Treasury Department accused the CBI and NDF of "financing of terrorism."

Sanctions include the blocking of all property of these organizations in the United States, as well as a ban on any transactions with the American side or in the United States.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he was imposing sanctions on the Central Bank of Iran.
