It is reported by UNN with reference to the department.

“During 2019, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting issued to business entities 1874 refusals to issue permits for the import of publishing products from the territory of the aggressor state to the customs territory of Ukraine,” the committee said.

At the same time, the ministry clarified that 1779 refusals were issued due to the fact that business entities did not provide the full amount of packages of documents necessary for obtaining a permit, as well as identifying inaccurate information in the submitted documents.

Other refusals were related to the negative opinion of experts who classified the books as forbidden "to be distributed in Ukraine due to non-compliance with the evaluation criteria for publishing that was allowed to be distributed in the country."

In February, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine banned the import of the books “Notes of a Practicing Witch” and “Georgian Cuisine: Love Taste” into the country.
