“There is certainly such a potential (progress in Russian-Moldovan relations. - RT ), and this is very important. The latest results of the parliamentary elections are quite contradictory: in the parliament there are both forces that actively advocate for the strengthening of Russian-Moldovan relations, as well as representatives of other political forces. Most importantly, there is a request from the Moldovan people for the most warm and friendly relations between our countries, ”Novikov said.

Russia and Moldova have made significant progress in the development of relations, however, according to the parliamentarian, much remains to be done to stabilize relations between the two countries.

“We are now working in different directions to realize this potential ... To say that all issues have been resolved today would be too optimistic ... There is a lot of work to be done to rectify the situation,” the deputy added.

Earlier, Dodon said that the reset of relations between Russia and Moldova was proceeding at a good pace.
