The petrol uprising 2.0 has chosen to include more groups that want to address their dissatisfaction with the government, when they demonstrate on the streets of Stockholm during Friday. The new umbrella organization "Uprising" includes the Inland Uprising, the Nurse Uprising, the Social Security Uprising, Your Future Pension and the People's Voice.

"We expect about 1,000 people from the Gasoline Uprising to appear, and just as many from the remaining groups," says Peder Blohm Bokenhielm, who created the umbrella organization "Uprising".

700 meters away, at Sergels Torg, children and young people strike for a fossil-free future.

The school strike has in the past gathered thousands of children and young people on the streets of Stockholm. The movement is global and the reason for the turnaround this time is Global Week For Future, the global week for the future, with Greta Thunberg at the forefront. The week ends with a school strike next Friday under the slogan #FridaysForFuture.

Gasoline cost not relevant for Stockholmers

The petrol riot 2.0 has previously had a hard time gathering followers on the streets of Stockholm. Last time, only a few hundred people gathered from the around 600,000 members who follow the Facebook page.

- This does not affect Stockholmers as much. Here there is a public transport that is unbeatable, but there are many who come in from today and I still hope for a strong support, says Peder Blohm Bokenhielm.

During the day, SVT Stockholm monitors both demonstrations in central Stockholm.
