The reason for the decision is that only one of the five houses has received beach protection dispensation. The ruling from the Land and Environmental Court came almost a year ago, but it is only now that the politicians in Åmål have set foot, reports the trial newspaper Dalsland.
- This is not a decision the committee thinks is fun to take at all, says Sofia Karlsson (S), chair of the building and environment committee, to the newspaper.
If the glass houses are not demolished within six months, the politicians will again raise the issue, and then threats of fines may arise.
