“The Center-2019 strategic command-and-staff exercise involved 128 units of army aviation helicopters from the Russian Armed Forces and the People’s Liberation Army of China,” TASS reports.
It is noted that helicopters were transferred to Sol-Iletsk and Orenburg-2 airfields
As it is specified, the Russian transport helicopters Mi-8, Mi-8AMTSH are involved in the exercises, attack - Mi-24, Mi-28, Mi-35, Ka-52 and Chinese Z-10, Mi-171.
The defense department explained that "army aviation will provide for the transfer and landing, cover the attack of troops, the delivery of goods, deliver a fire strike to the battle formations of the conditional enemy."
Earlier it was reported that the Iskander-M complexes, which were deployed to Kazakhstan as part of the Center-2019 exercises, struck the conditional terrorist camp.
Military expert Yuri Knutov in an interview with Nation News praised the Center-2019 exercises.
