This is stated in a message published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the parties discussed "pressing issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Egyptian relations, including in the context of the upcoming Russia-Africa summit in October in Sochi, chaired by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi."
In early July, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin met with Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Egypt Ali Abdel-Alem on the sidelines of the international forum "Development of Parliamentarism" in Moscow.
