“A ship with 73 thousand tons of brand G coal has already arrived at the port of South Odessa region. The new batch will allow DTEK to continue the accumulation of coal in the warehouses of thermal power plants, so that in winter the thermal power plants stably provide Ukraine with light and heat, ”the energy holding said.

It is noted that another batch of coal from Colombia is expected next week, and the last ship will arrive in Ukraine in October.

Earlier, the head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, Mikhail Volynets, said that workers at the Buzhanskaya mine refused to rise to the surface and are demanding payment of their salary debts. According to him, by September 20, the wage arrears of Ukrainian miners almost reached the mark of 900 million hryvnia.

On August 12, workers at the Ukrainian mines Kurakhovskaya and Ukraine blocked the road, demanding payment of wage arrears. A little later, the miners of the Kapitalnaya mine refused to work because of wage arrears.

At the same time, on August 20, Volynets reported that the Gornaya mine in the Luhansk region was operating in emergency mode and was at risk of flooding due to a shortage of electricity.
